Guitar Instructor: Douglas James I have been playing and studying guitar for 33 years. I grew up surrounded by music, fostering and encouraging my love of the guitar and all things music! Serving 25 years in the Air Force, I spent many of those years as a leader, teaching various disciplines and honing my skills as an instructor. I understand the importance of paying close attention to what each student’s individual needs are, how they learn, and what style of instruction drives them to succeed. We never stop learning! After I retired from the service, I solidified my musical education by attending college for music theory. I absolutely love sharing the secrets of guitar that music theory has opened up for me. I actively play guitar with a band in venues all over Northern Colorado and beyond, and also love writing and sharing my original music. I enjoy sharing all that I know and love about playing guitar with my students, and do all that I can to help them reach their musical goals.
